Sleeping on the allotment

It is such a luxury to stay over in our little cabain down at the allotment. Bit by bit, this place -we now own it for almost one year- turns into our little paradise. My love made us a veranda / porch from wood from our neighbours who had to put down a tree. We spent allready some lovely nights there, watching the bright sky, listening to the birds, enjoying our Italian white wine with candle light.

There is still a lot to do, but we now grow our vegatables there and i put in my favorite flowers like buttercups, cosmea, nasturtium, daisies, opium poppy........I would love to make a fresh bouqet of flowers from my own garden!

Picnic

I love to picnic outdoor. It is the best way to enjoy nature, friendship and mindfulness.

Last monday i lounged with one of my friends at the beach. It was the first picnic of the year. Although still a bit cold, it was a joy to sit on a outdoor carpet, chatting with my friend while sipping a fresh juice. Our 2 dogs kept us warm, stif sitting next to us with their sandy muzzles and wet skin from swimming in the sea. The first picnic of the year is always a memoriable moment!

So i am excited to find this new webshop for all kinds of outdoor picnic stuff called Urban Sandindians. Especially love the Thomas Paul's melanine plates!

Paper Tiles

Favorite thing: I have a collection of old tiles in my digital photobook. When visiting ancient European towns  you can find antique tiles displaced on the outside of old buildings. It's a delight to walk around and enjoy the inner cities. I know I never got tired of it as I was always "discovering" new beautifull colours, prints and delicate drawings that I hadn't even seen yet. Below some old tiles from our latest visit to Namur (Belgium).

You can imagine how excited i am to find on the web the collection of Victorian paper tiles from Louise Body. She designed 7 different tiles and they are truly an economical alternative to decorative ceramic tiles. Ohh i love them!
